Description
Pattern 1831 sabre for General Officers, also called Mameluke sabre after the Mamluk warrior caste of Egypt.
This type of sword was worn unofficially in the first half of the 19th century by french and british (and other) officers.

Brass crossguard and accents in the hilt
Brass scabbard with two suspension rings
High carbon steel engraved blade
These swords are handmade, one at the time. This means that no sword is exactly the same and small differences and irregularities are possible.
